Prof. Agnieszka Dabska in Warsaw University of Technology visited the University of Tokyo and gave a lecture titled “Sand Failure due to Seepage”. Her lecture started from the comprehensive classification of seepage failure with case studies, and a relationship between mechanisms of seepage failure and soil types was discussed. She also showed interesting laboratory experiments to study seepage failure of sand.
