学部の授業（少人数セミナー）の一環として、4人の学部3年生と2016年熊本地震で被災した現場（阿蘇地域）を視察しました。崩落した阿蘇大橋、長陽大橋等の橋りょうは同クラスの地震にも耐えられるように復旧しており、JR豊肥本線も全て復旧していました。景観が素晴らしいです。震災から6年半が経過しましたが、立野地区が確実に復興している様子を確認できました。Prof. Watanabe visited the site (Kyushu) damaged by the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake with four undergraduate students and one graduate student. The collapsed bridges such as the Aso bridge and Choyo bridge had already been restored to withstand the same level of earthquake, and the JR Hohi line had also all been restored. These were really beautiful structures. Six and a half years have passed since the earthquake, we could confirm that Tatsuno area is recovering step by step.
