コペンハーゲンで開催された「第11回洗掘・侵食に関する国際会議(The 11th International Conference on Scour and Erosion)」に参加しました。渡邉からは「局所洗掘による河川橋脚の不安定化過程に関する水理模型実験」、土質研卒業生の竹崎君からは「河川橋脚の不安定化に及ぼす河床材料の粒度分布の影響に関する実験的研究」というタイトルで発表しました。洗掘に伴う橋脚の不安定化現象は、複数の学問分野(水理学・河川工学・地盤工学)に関連する複雑な現象で、研究事例も必ずしも多くないので、今後もこの研究を継続していきます。
We participated in “The 11th International Conference on Scour and Erosion” held in Copenhagen. Prof. Watanabe gave a presentation entitled “Hydraulic Model tests on destabilization process of river bridge piers caused by local scour,” and Mr. Takezaki, a former master student of UTokyo, gave a presentation entitled “Experimental Study on the effect of grain size distribution of bed materials on destabilization of a river pier caused by local scouring”. Since the river bridge pier instability due to local scour is a complex phenomenon related to multiple disciplines (hydraulics, river engineering, and geotechnical engineering) and past studies are limited, we will continue this research in the future.
